    1948

Founding of I.M.A.S. as an internal business division of a well-known automotive component manufacturer with the aim of developing a cost-effective solution for mass producing complex and precise metal parts.

    1951

IMAS commences global marketing of its rotary transfer machines.

    1960–70

Strong development in international sales (Europe, America, Brazil).

    1987

IMAS is yet again ahead of its time and presents the first transfer machine with NC units.

    1992

Introduction of IMASFLEX: revolutionary, fully flexible and reconfigurable transfer.

    2000

IMAS discloses its IMASFLEX 150, an advanced multitasking machining system with the productivity of a dedicated transfer machine.

    2004

The HFT "concept model" provides the basis for developing hybrid solutions that ensure production flexibility beyond the purely "geometric" – with a significant reduction or even the total avoidance of setup times.

    2011

A brand new version of the popular IMASFLEX 300 is introduced: IMASFLEX 300V. The largest axis travel, torque drive for satellites and amazing dynamic performance are just a few of the most important features.

    2016

IMAS joins the global machine tool manufacturer FFG and bears the name Industria Meccanica Applicazioni Speciali. Quality and innovation now correspond to the strength of an international group.
