MAG MMH 630
More Manufacturing Performance for Tomorrow’s Production
The MAG MMH 630 is a horizontal machining center engineered for the economical machining of large and complex workpieces. The machine combines high performance, precision and process stability, making it well suited for industries such as automotive, commercial vehicles, heavy machinery, energy technology, aerospace, defence and general engineering. Key features include an optional CORCOM gear spindle, a rigid, FEA-optimized machine structure, and the SINUMERIK ONE control system.
Four Strengths
One Machine. No Compromise.
One horizontal machining centre built on four strengths: the power of a proven CORCOM gear spindle, the flexibility of up to 800 mm pallets and the widest range of jobs, the rigidity of a high-stiffness structure, and the value of an attractive return – technically and economically.
Faster cycle times, room for bigger and more complex workpieces, accuracy that holds up under heavy loads, and an investment that pays for itself quickly – engineering that turns into real production output.
Industries
Components
The MAG MMH 630 is engineered for demanding, heavy-component machining and is proven across:
- Engine Blocks: V-engine & inline blocks, heavy cast iron & alloy
- Transmission Housings: gearbox & powertrain, varied jobs, changing batches
- Differential Housings: axle & drive housings, complex heavy parts
- Cylinder Heads: multi-face precision, tight tolerances
- Steering Knuckles: rigid chassis parts, tough duty cycles
- General Casting Parts: variety of workpieces, rough milling
Industries served: automotive, commercial vehicles, heavy machinery, energy technology, aerospace, defence, general engineering.
The MMH 630 comes with an integrated standard spindle (SK 50 / HSK-A 100, 298/416 Nm S1/S6) and an optional CORCOM gear spindle (HSK-A100, 908/1130 Nm S1/S6).
X-axis: 1,150 mm, Y-axis: 1,000 mm, Z-axis: 1,050 mm. Maximum workpiece size: Ø 1,150 x H 1,300 mm.
Standard 630 x 630 mm, optional up to 800 x 800 mm, with a maximum loading payload of 1,500 kg.
The machine runs on SINUMERIK ONE and is IoT-ready for additional smart software.
X/Y/Z axes reach a rapid traverse rate of 60 m/min. The B-axis table rotates 0–90° in 1.6 seconds with a positioning accuracy of 0.001°.
60, 90, 120, 180, or 240 tool stations, supporting a maximum tool diameter of up to 325 mm and a tool length of up to 650 mm.
Yes. The MMH 630 is also available as a complete turnkey solution: machine, tooling, automation, and software from a single source. FFG combines machinetool technology with process engineering, automation, tooling, measurement and production-line integration.
- One-stop solution: fully integrated, ready-to-run system
- Reduced project risk: a single supplier fully responsible for performance
- Faster ramp-up: pre-validated processes shorten commissioning time
- Lower internal effort: less in-house engineering and coordination required
