New management team at FFG Europe & Americas and MAG IAS GmbH
Eislingen, February 27, 2019 – The FFG Europe & Americas group and its largest operative entity MAG IAS GmbH have announced a new leadership structure. Jimmy Chu, Chairman of the global Fair Friend Group, will head both entities as CEO, together with a team of experienced industrial and business experts in Germany.
Effective February 14, Jimmy Chu has taken on the roles of CEO of FFG European & American Holdings GmbH and MAG IAS GmbH. Gerald Mies joins him in the management board in addition to his role of Business President Turning, including the turning and gear manufacturing businesses of the brands VDF Boehringer, Hessapp, MAG (Coldforming) and Modul. The management team is completed by Rigobert Schlink as President of the Business Units Milling (MAG) and CORCOM, as well as Dr. Libo Zhang as CFO. Mr. Mies and Mr. Schlink have been serving the FFG group before with their extensive expertise in machine tool technology, automation and turnkey systems. Dr. Zhang joined the group in February, adding her longstanding international business experience in executive finance roles in German industrial companies like MTU, MAN or SGL Carbon.
Former CEO Dr. Gerald Weber has handed over his role as CEO of the above companies to Mr. Chu and will in the future serve the global group as Vice Chairman, contributing his wide expertise as multi-industry executive to the further development of the group. Luigi Maniglio as previous CFO will support the transition process in the coming months until end of April 2019.
Jimmy Chu expressed his gratitude to the previous leadership team and announced progressive plans for the technological and economic development of the group: “The previous management team headed by Dr. Gerald Weber has played a major role in forming the entire FFG Europe & Americas group.
